25+ years of experience Dr. Lance Hidalgo is a Baton Rouge native who grew up in a veterinary family, so caring for animals has been part of his life from the start. He earned his DVM from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After three years of practice in Tennessee, he came home to Louisiana and opened Prairieville Animal Hospital in 1998.
Dr. Hidalgo has a special interest in orthopedics and dermatology. He believes pets are part of your family, and he treats every dog and cat that way.
